Justification Summary
Significant increases in natural gas procurement costs driven by rising global LNG spot prices (up 22% YoY) and depreciation of the Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar have materially impacted operating costs.
The proposed adjustment is necessary to maintain financial viability and continue infrastructure investment in the Sumatra–Java pipeline network, which serves over 8.4 million household and industrial consumers.
