Regulatory Decision on Retail Fuel Tariff — Petrobangla

WHEREAS, Petrobangla submitted a Retail Fuel Tariff revision application (TRF-2026-046) on 20 February 2026, pursuant to Regulation BERC No. 12/2024 on Tariff Setting Procedures;
HAVING CONSIDERED the technical review prepared by BERC staff, the public hearing conducted on 25 March 2026, and the public comments received;
THE COMMISSION HEREBY DECIDES:
1. The Retail Fuel Tariff for Petrobangla is approved at BDT 10,500 per litre effective 15 May 2026;
2. This tariff shall remain in force for a period of two (2) years unless earlier reviewed;
3. Petrobangla shall submit a progress report on service quality indicators at 12 months.

The Commission approves the Generator Tariff for PGCB (Power Grid Co. of Bangladesh) at BDT 1,200 per kWh effective 01 April 2026 for a period of two (2) years, having found the revenue requirement of IDR 78,400M to be substantiated by the cost of service study submitted.
